Natchez attack Fort Rosalie

The Natchez attacked the French at Fort Rosalie (present-day Natchez, Mississippi) after the commandant ordered them off White Apple Village, killing more than 200 colonists and taking captives, including many of the roughly 280 enslaved Africans nearby. French and Choctaw forces then waged war on the Natchez, and most survivors were captured in 1731 and sold into slavery in Saint-Domingue.
