Cajundome protests reach national attention

Geographer Alexandra Giancarlo reports that protests over the Cajundome name grew large enough by 1997 that Louis Farrakhan considered a visit to Lafayette. The Cajundome name had drawn complaints from Black residents since the venue was planned.
